Burning Man 2004

I've written extensively elsewhere about Burning Man. Here are my panoramas from the 2004 Black Rock City

In 2004 I got to borrow a cherry picker to shoot a wide and narrow pano from above the entrance to center camp. I also shot this at 10am, the first time I have done one in the morning instead of the afternoon. Fewer folks out in the morning and different light.

This the giant shot, taken from the cherry picker high above the entrance to center camp on the promenade to the Man. I had never shot from the exact center of the city before, and chose this shot to show all of the Esplanade as well as most of center camp and the whole playa in one shot.

Things to note include the umbrella guy, the Temple of Stars visible through the Man and more. Taken with a 50mm lens on the D60.

A wide angle pano, shot under clouds, from the tower at the Embassy at 4:40 and Esplanade. The phone booth can be seen in the very bottom. My own camp is not very far away.
